NOTTINGHAM, Feb 27 — Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes took another hit as they struggled to break down Nottingham Forest in a 0-0 draw last night.

Manager Mikel Arteta admitted his side lacked creativity, with key forwards Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz all sidelined. This marks Arsenal’s second consecutive game without a goal, following their 1-0 loss to West Ham.

Despite having a game in hand, Arsenal now trail leaders Liverpool by 13 points, making their title challenge increasingly difficult. Mikel Merino, playing as a makeshift striker, had Arsenal’s only shot on target, but Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels made the save.

“We dominated but lacked that spark to unlock a well-organized team,” Arteta said, emphasizing the need for more shots on target.

Forest, meanwhile, ended a poor run of form with a solid defensive display. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo praised his side’s return to defensive basics, saying, “It was important to be solid and keep a clean sheet.” — AFP
