LOS ANGELES – 14 JAN - A coalition of 12 Los Angeles professional sports teams, including the NFL's Rams and Chargers, the NBA's Lakers and Clippers, and MLB's Dodgers and Angels, pledged $8 million for wildfire relief. The funds will support organizations such as the American Red Cross, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and World Central Kitchen. Additionally, Fanatics partnered with the teams to provide $3 million worth of merchandise for displaced families. Relief events will distribute clothes, hygiene kits, school supplies, and shoes at Dodger Stadium, SoFi Stadium, and BMO Stadium.

The wildfires, which have destroyed over 12,000 structures and burned more than 35,000 acres, have left 90,000 people displaced. Authorities reported at least 24 fatalities and warned of worsening conditions due to strong winds. The NFL moved the Rams’ playoff game to Arizona, while two Lakers games and one Clippers game were postponed. Monday’s Lakers game was dedicated to the Los Angeles community and first responders, with fans encouraged to bring donations.
