LOS ANGELES, May 24 — Firefighters warned on Friday that a tank of toxic chemicals in California is continuing to heat up, raising concerns of a potential large-scale explosion that has already led to the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents.
SHAH ALAM — The Selangor state government has not implemented or enforced any planning guidelines that ban non-Islamic houses of worship from being established in commercial zones, clarified State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade and Mobility Ng Sze Han.
Ng, who co-chairs the state’s Special Committee For Non-Islamic Affairs (LIMAS), stated that the guidelines in question will undergo a thorough review. The state government plans to consult closely with various religious associations, with an initial meeting scheduled for early next month.
The statement was issued to ease recent public concern over PLANMalaysia Selangor's guidelines regarding future applications for non-Muslim places of worship in commercial shoplots. Ng reassured the public that no enforcement actions will be taken while the review is underway, emphasizing Selangor's commitment to resolving administrative and technical alignments through constructive dialogue to maintain a fair, progressive, and inclusive environment for all.
