CarlosRomero's late strike in the 85th minute secured a crucial win for Espanyol, whoare battling relegation. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid moved within a point ofReal Madrid after a 2-0 victory over Mallorca, setting up an intense derby nextweekend.
