KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 — The rollout of the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (Sara) Appreciation Credit has continued smoothly into its fourth day, with RM117.1 million in sales recorded from 1.8 million recipients nationwide.

According to the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the figure reflects an increase compared to RM76.8 million spent by 1.1 million recipients on Sept 2.

“The successful transaction rate has also improved to 99.7 per cent, up from 95 per cent on Sept 2,” the ministry said in a statement last night.

It added that system upgrades and enhancements to processing capacity over the past three days have contributed to the stability achieved yesterday.

Since the initiative began on Aug 31, more than 4.8 million people have used the RM100 Sara Appreciation and Sara credit to purchase essential items, with total spending nationwide reaching RM312.6 million.

The MOF also reminded recipients that the RM100 Sara Appreciation credit remains valid until Dec 31, 2025, and can be used at over 7,300 registered retail outlets nationwide. — Bernama
