PUTRAJAYA, April 11 — The Social Welfare Department (JKM) has denied that one of its officers was involved in a viral video circulating on social media.

In a statement today, the department clarified that the individual shown in the video is not a JKM officer and that it had no involvement in the incident portrayed.

It emphasised that all JKM officers adhere to strict standard operating procedures when carrying out investigations, including properly identifying themselves, presenting official identification, and performing their duties in a professional and ethical manner.

JKM also stressed that it takes the spread of inaccurate information seriously, as it can mislead the public and harm the department’s reputation.

The department urged the public to refrain from sharing unverified content.
