WASHINGTON, July 1 — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to visit the White House next week for talks with President Donald Trump, as the U.S. intensifies efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, a U.S. official confirmed on Monday.
WASHINGTON, Feb 12 — Federal workers across US health agencies are on edge after a conservative group published more than 50 names and photos on a website, once labeling them as “targets.”
The “DEI watchlist,” launched in November, has sparked alarm as it gains traction alongside former President Donald Trump’s push to eliminate government roles related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The site now features “dossiers” on individuals it claims have supported such initiatives, with most being Black and female employees.
The American Accountability Foundation (AAF), the group behind the site, plans to add another 40 names. A federal worker featured on the list described their initial fear and anger upon discovering it, worried about potential harassment.
Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, criticized the list for targeting people of color who are not policymakers, comparing it to the doxxing of election worker Ruby Freeman, who faced threats after being falsely accused of fraud.
Each listed worker’s page includes their photo, job title, and online activity, citing actions such as supporting Black Lives Matter, using pronouns, or interacting with social justice content. Some workers have already deleted their LinkedIn profiles, while others received anonymous food deliveries—seen as an intimidation tactic.
The AAF, which has ties to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, denied putting anyone in danger, calling the backlash "hypothetical." However, affected workers are consulting lawyers, filing hate crime complaints, and contacting the FBI.
One worker vowed, “We are even more dedicated now to staying in our jobs and fighting back. This watchlist is creating our class-action lawsuit for us.” — AFP
