KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has provided financial assistance to a fisherman's family in Pahang to help ease their financial struggles.

The contribution was delivered by the Prime Minister’s Political Secretary, Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, to Saluna Mat Jusoh during a visit to her home in Kampung Cherating, Kuantan, under the Ziarah MADANI initiative.

“Her husband, Encik Hasim, earns around RM1,000 per month as a fisherman and often faces unfavorable weather conditions that prevent him from going out to sea.

"I was also informed by officers from the MADANI Community Centre in Indera Mahkota about the deteriorating condition of their home, with a leaking roof, rotting walls, and a damaged kitchen, making it an unsuitable living environment for the family.

"Therefore, I came to offer assistance in the hope that Puan Saluna’s house can be repaired, providing a safer and more comfortable home for her family," Ahmad Farhan shared in a Facebook post, which was also reposted by the Prime Minister.

He expressed hope that this support would offer some relief to the family, emphasizing that in a MADANI nation, every citizen deserves to live with dignity and comfort. — Bernama
