KUCHING, June 28 — The body believed to be that of Jacob Tuan, the victim of a recent crocodile attack, was discovered by the search and rescue team this afternoon.‍

KUCHING, June 28 — The body believed to be that of Jacob Tuan, the victim of a recent crocodile attack, was discovered by the search and rescue team this afternoon.

Padawan District Police Chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said the remains were found at approximately 12.30pm during a search operation that began earlier in the morning.

“We started the search at 8am, and by 12.30pm, the body was located through the combined efforts of the search teams,” he told reporters.

The remains have been sent to Sarawak General Hospital for identification and a post-mortem examination.

The case is currently classified as sudden death.

“The victim was found about 300 metres from the attack site. Although the body is not fully intact, we will proceed with the post-mortem,” he added.

He noted that the body was discovered along the riverbank during low tide. — The Borneo Post
