KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 — Two foreign nationals have become the first individuals in Malaysia to be charged in court for littering under the newly enforced anti-littering law, according to a report by The Star.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 — A car wash worker sustained serious injuries after the vehicle he was driving crashed through a wall and plunged from the third floor of a service apartment parking area along Jalan Klang Lama yesterday evening.
According to Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, the incident occurred at 5.38pm and involved a Toyota Camry driven by a 23-year-old Afghan national.
Preliminary investigations suggest the worker lost control of the car while attempting to park it after washing. He is believed to have accidentally stepped on the accelerator, causing the vehicle to burst through the wall and fall to the ground.
The Camry landed on a Proton Iriz and a Perodua Myvi parked at the ground level. Fortunately, no one was inside either vehicle at the time.
The victim was seriously injured and rushed to the red zone of Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for emergency treatment.
The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — Bernama
