GEORGE TOWN, Feb 28 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has been reappointed as Penang Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman for the 2024-2026 term during its annual general meeting yesterday.

The new Penang PH leadership lineup comprises 33 members, with equal representation from DAP, PKR, and Amanah—each contributing 11 members.

Key appointments include:

Deputy Chairpersons: Nurul Izzah Anwar (PKR, retained), Steven Sim Chee Keong (DAP, new), and Muhammad Faiz Fadzil (Amanah).

Vice-Chairpersons: Ramkarpal Singh (DAP), Dr Zaidi Zakaria (Amanah), and Datuk Dr Mohamad Abdul Hamid (PKR).

Secretary: Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying (retained).

Treasurer: Muhammad Hamdi Md Nor (Penang Amanah communications director).

Chow emphasized that the appointments strengthen party cooperation and reaffirm PH’s commitment to public welfare and reform. He also stressed the importance of collaboration with Barisan Nasional (BN) to enhance governance and ensure sustainable development for Penang.

"The close cooperation between DAP, PKR, Amanah, and BN will continue to be strengthened to maintain effective governance and development," he said at a press conference following the meeting at the Penang DAP headquarters.

The Penang PH annual meeting, originally set for 2024, was delayed due to scheduling constraints.
