Madrid, May 15 — Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé was jeered by sections of the Santiago Bernabéu crowd during his side’s 2-0 La Liga victory over Real Oviedo on Thursday.
JASIN, May 15 — A dispute over ‘mushroom-flavoured’ vape liquid ended in tragedy when a 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed at a playground in Merlimau last night.
Jasin police chief Supt Lee Robert said the victim suffered a stab wound to the right side of his back that punctured his lung, along with head injuries. The incident occurred at about 9 pm.
The victim died while receiving treatment at Melaka Hospital at 1.26 pm today.
A 26-year-old man who was with him sustained cuts to his right hand and body, as well as scratches on his face.
Police arrested four suspects, aged between 20 and 35, shortly after receiving a report on the incident.
According to Lee, the altercation was triggered by a misunderstanding during a vape liquid transaction. One of the victims is believed to have confronted a suspect and used abusive language, prompting the suspect to chase and stab them with a knife.
Two other suspects allegedly assaulted the victims by punching them.
Both victims managed to escape by car and sought initial treatment at Klinik Kesihatan Merlimau before being transferred to Melaka Hospital.
Police also seized several items, including clothing, mobile phones, a pair of slippers, and a broken knife believed to be stained with blood.
Background checks found that all four suspects had previous criminal and drug-related records, while three tested positive for methamphetamine.
A post-mortem will be conducted at Melaka Hospital to determine the exact cause of death.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. — Bernama
