WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 — A crocodile, believed to be the same one previously seen near Masjid Jamek and Mid Valley, has reportedly been sighted in the Klang River near Malayan Mansion, close to Masjid India.
According to The Star, Kuala Lumpur Civil Defence Force (APM) officer Mej Ahmad Junaid Dukut Soerharto Ahmad stated that capturing the reptile could take time due to unfavorable weather conditions and strong river currents.
“It has been raining heavily, making the river currents strong and posing risks to our team during the search and capture operation. Even after the rain stopped, there was still the danger of lightning strikes,” he said.
Authorities dispatched two teams following a public report at 10:19 p.m. last night. With assistance from the police and the Department of Wildlife Protection and National Parks (Perhilitan), trapping equipment was set up by 11 p.m., but the crocodile was no longer visible.
Last month, Perhilitan deployed a trap after a three-meter-long crocodile was sighted near Mid Valley Megamall.
Earlier, on February 8, Perhilitan heightened its alert level after a viral video showed a crocodile in the Klang River near Masjid Jamek. Perhilitan director-general Datuk Abdul Kadir Abu Hashim confirmed the sighting and announced plans to install warning signs in the area.
A previous sighting on February 5 showed another crocodile emerging from the Klang River near Klang Mosque, raising further concerns about the increasing presence of crocodiles in the city's waterways.
