WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
ROME, June 4 — Inter Milan and coach Simone Inzaghi have parted ways after four years, the club announced Tuesday, with Italian media reporting his next move is to Saudi Arabia.
“The club and Simone Inzaghi are parting ways by mutual agreement,” read a statement from Inter.
The decision was made during a meeting between Inzaghi and club president Giuseppe Marotta earlier in the day. It comes just days after Inter’s heavy 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
Speculation about Inzaghi’s exit had intensified in recent weeks, with reports linking him to a €50 million (RM242 million), two-year deal with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal — a move Italian media said was confirmed on Tuesday.
Inzaghi, who joined Inter in 2021 and was under contract until 2026, led the team to one Serie A title — the club’s 20th — and two Coppa Italia victories. He also guided them to two Champions League finals in three seasons, though both ended in defeat.
Inter, who were recently on track for a historic treble, ended the season without a trophy after faltering in key competitions.
The club praised Inzaghi’s tenure as one marked by “great passion, professionalism, and dedication,” crediting his leadership with restoring Inter’s prominence in Italian and European football.
Marotta expressed gratitude for Inzaghi’s service and the honest discussion that led to the mutual parting. “Only when we strive together for success every day can we have the kind of sincere dialogue we had today,” he said.
In his own statement, Inzaghi thanked the players, management, and staff — and especially the fans. “I will never forget you,” he said. — AFP
