TASHKENT, June 24 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof held a bilateral meeting on Monday with Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Kucharov and Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov during his official working visit to the republic.‍

TASHKENT, June 24 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof held a bilateral meeting on Monday with Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Kucharov and Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov during his official working visit to the republic.

Fadillah, who also serves as Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, was joined by Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin, Malaysian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Ilham Tuah Illias, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry, Mareena Mahpudz.

During the 30-minute meeting with Kucharov, who is also Uzbekistan’s Minister of Economy and Finance, discussions centred on potential collaboration in key sectors including energy, tourism, and education. Fadillah also held separate talks with Mirzamakhmudov at the Ministry of Energy.

Both sides expressed interest in developing smart grid systems and enhancing the exchange of technical expertise and training, reaffirming their commitment to deeper cooperation in these fields.

Fadillah and his delegation are scheduled to continue their working visit to Russia after concluding their trip to Uzbekistan today. — Bernama
