PETALING JAYA, July 19 — Malaysia’s top men’s doubles pair, Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani, have booked their place in the Japan Open final for the second year in a row.

As reported by The Star, the world No. 1 duo clinched a convincing straight-games win over Taiwan’s Liu Kuang-heng and Yang Po-han, triumphing 21-19, 21-11 in today’s semi-final at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

The independent Malaysian pair will now face South Korea’s world No. 3 duo, Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho, in tomorrow’s final.

Earlier, Seo and Kim ended the run of Malaysians Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi, beating them 21-14, 21-15 in the other semi-final.

In previous encounters, Goh and Nur Izzuddin have faced the Korean pair twice, with both sides winning once.
