KOTA TINGGI, April 20 — A 71-year-old man has been remanded for seven days until April 26 in connection with a shooting incident in Taman Kota Jaya that left three people dead yesterday.
KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 — Hannah Yeoh said the “Bangun KL: Ke Arah Kuala Lumpur Yang Lebih Sejahtera” initiative aims to ease peak-hour congestion by encouraging commuters to enter the city earlier.
She explained that the programme focuses on changing public behaviour through incentives and collaboration across sectors, rather than relying solely on infrastructure improvements.
Speaking at the launch, attended by officials including representatives from Zus Coffee, Hannah said about 1.2 million vehicles enter Kuala Lumpur каждое morning, and shifting even 10 per cent to earlier hours could significantly improve traffic flow.
As part of the initiative, 250 Zus Coffee outlets in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya are offering discounted drinks between 7am and 8am via its mobile app to encourage earlier commutes.
She added that Bangun KL is part of a long-term plan to improve urban living, including better work-life balance, governance, green spaces and stronger collaboration between public and private sectors. — Bernama
