High-impact crash launches Perodua Aruz driver into Klang mangrove swamp; escapes with only minor injuries

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 — A man miraculously escaped with minor injuries after an early morning crash in Telok Gong, Klang, hurled him into a mangrove swamp.‍

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 — A man miraculously escaped with minor injuries after an early morning crash in Telok Gong, Klang, hurled him into a mangrove swamp.

The 40-year-old was driving a Perodua Aruz when his vehicle collided with a lorry along Jalan Pelabuhan Barat at around 2.14am, according to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.

Six firefighters from the Pulau Indah station were dispatched to the scene. The impact of the collision was so intense that the driver was ejected from the vehicle and landed in a nearby swamp.

A search and rescue operation was promptly carried out, and the man was located with only minor injuries. He was treated on-site by Health Ministry medical personnel.

The operation concluded at 4.13am.

Authorities have yet to reveal the cause of the crash.
