WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will enforce a temporary ban on goods vehicles during Hari Raya Aidilfitri on March 28-29 and April 5-6 to ease traffic and improve road safety.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated that the measure aims to accommodate the surge in private vehicles and reduce accident risks. Violators face an RM300 compound or, if prosecuted, fines up to RM2,000 or six months’ imprisonment.
He noted that stricter enforcement during Chinese New Year led to a 10% drop in road accidents, with 7,882 cases recorded versus 8,784 the previous year
To enhance road safety, JPJ’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2025 Special Operation will run nationwide from March 24 to April 8, focusing on traffic law violators. Loke urged motorists to drive safely and report violations via the MyJPJ app or email aduantrafik@jpj.gov.my. — Bernama
