SEPANG, Sept 3 — A power outage temporarily stalled one of the aerotrains at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) this afternoon.

The disruption happened at 1.36pm as the train was nearing the satellite terminal.

“All passengers were safely evacuated via the central platform walkway in line with our standard operating procedure,” KLIA said in a Facebook post.

It added that the other aerotrain continued running normally, ensuring passenger transfers between the main and satellite terminals were unaffected. KLIA also issued an apology to travellers inconvenienced by the incident.

The breakdown occurred just as the aerotrain resumed full 24-hour operations today, following a scheduled two-week overnight maintenance from August 18 to 31.
