SEPANG, June 26 — A local university student was found dead in a condominium in Cyberjaya on June 24, with authorities suspecting foul play.

Sepang police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman said officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report at 10.28am regarding the discovery of the 20-year-old female student.

He confirmed that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations revealed no signs of forced entry into the unit.

However, a further examination of the body uncovered head injuries consistent with blunt force trauma, he said in a statement today.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Norhizam urged anyone with information to contact investigating officer ASP Mohd Husny Hussien at 012-9307860 or reach out to the nearest police station.

“The police are treating this case with utmost seriousness and urge the public to remain calm, refrain from speculation or spreading false information that could hinder the investigation, and avoid any actions that may break the law,” he added. — Bernama
