KOTA TINGGI, April 20 — A 71-year-old man has been remanded for seven days until April 26 in connection with a shooting incident in Taman Kota Jaya that left three people dead yesterday.
KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested an accounting service provider for allegedly submitting fraudulent documents involving RM4 million in false travel and miscellaneous claims.
Sources report that the suspect, a man in his 30s, was detained yesterday at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya while providing a statement regarding the allegations.
According to Bernama, the suspect reportedly falsified claims for various expenses, including transport, diesel, generators, salaries, landscaping, and credit card payments, alongside personal and property-related costs.
Initial investigations suggest these illegal activities occurred between 2023 and 2025. Following an application by the MACC today, the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court granted a four-day remand until April 4.
MACC Senior Deputy Director Datuk Yuhafiz Mohd Salleh confirmed the arrest, stating that the investigation is being conducted under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009. — Bernama
