WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 — Malaysia will introduce special electronic passes for investors and expatriate groups starting April 1 to facilitate longer stays for business and investment purposes.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the single-window system aims to ease entry and improve the business climate. He emphasized faster processing to attract investors and reduce reliance on agents.
The government also aims to clear 11,700 pending entry pass applications by June. Currently, 80% of entry permits are for foreign spouses of Malaysian citizens.
To enhance efficiency, the Immigration Department is digitalizing services, eliminating sticker-based passes, and allowing online renewals for work visit passes. This has reduced counter congestion by 70%, aligning with the government’s push for digital public services. — Bernama
