KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 — Muslims in Malaysia will begin fasting on Sunday, March 2, as announced by Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 — Muslims in Malaysia will begin fasting on Sunday, March 2, as announced by Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad. The date was set with the consent of the Rulers, following an order from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.

The announcement was broadcast live on RTM tonight. Earlier, on February 20, the Office of the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal confirmed that the Ramadan crescent moon sighting would take place today (February 28).

A total of 29 locations across Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur Tower, Putrajaya International Convention Centre, and Baitul Hilal Bangunan Sultan Ismail in Johor, were designated for the sighting. — Bernama
