WASHINGTON, Aug 25 — SpaceX has called off a scheduled test flight for its Starship megarocket on Sunday, citing the need for additional time to address issues, marking yet another setback for Elon Musk’s colossal project following a string of explosive failures.
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 — The MyKasih Foundation has boosted the processing capacity of its Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) terminals by 60 per cent to ensure smoother nationwide transactions.
In a Facebook statement yesterday, the foundation said its technical team will continue monitoring the system closely and take swift measures to further enhance performance.
“As of 5 pm today (Sept 1 — the second day of the RM100 one-off SARA aid credited to MyKad from Aug 31), nearly 600,000 transactions were completed, marking a 20 per cent increase compared to the same time yesterday.
“This brings the total SARA and SARA Appreciation transactions over the past two days to 1.45 million, amounting to RM91 million in nationwide spending,” it added.
However, the foundation acknowledged that slow processing rates were still reported in several locations, particularly in Selangor, Perak, Sabah and Melaka.
“This could be due to the surge in shoppers during the long weekend holiday. MyKasih staff have been stationed at selected hypermarkets to assist on-site and support traders,” it said.
The public is advised to shop during off-peak hours, such as weekday mornings, to avoid congestion and enjoy smoother transactions.
Reports also surfaced of technical glitches at some of the 7,300 participating outlets, forcing affected shoppers to pay with their own money after being unable to redeem the one-off aid.
The RM100 SARA Appreciation aid credit remains valid until Dec 31, 2025, and can be redeemed at more than 7,300 registered retail outlets nationwide. — Bernama
