KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 — PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar has called on party representatives and Malaysians who can afford it to donate their RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (Sara) aid to those in greater need.

She said both she and Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, who is also Gombak MP, agreed to launch the “Pass It Forward” initiative yesterday.

“RM100 may seem small to those who have enough, but it means so much to those struggling. It can help feed hungry families and children.

“Merdeka is not just a slogan but a shared struggle. Now is the time to give back to those feeling the pinch. No one should be left behind — everyone deserves food on their table,” she wrote in a Facebook post last night while extending National Day greetings to Malaysians.

The Sara aid is a one-off RM100 credit provided to all Malaysians aged 18 and above without application, and is redeemable at more than 7,000 participating outlets nationwide until Dec 31. — Bernama
