KUANTAN, Aug 28 — The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has instructed that all mosques and surau in the state perform solat hajat tomorrow night to pray for protection from disasters.

KUANTAN, Aug 28 — The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has instructed that all mosques and surau in the state perform solat hajat tomorrow night to pray for protection from disasters.

In a Facebook post, the Pahang Royal Household said the decree was made following recent earthquakes in the country, reflecting the Sultan’s deep concern for the people’s safety and well-being.

“His Royal Highness has urged Muslims in Pahang to strengthen their prayers, increase acts of worship, and collectively seek Allah SWT’s protection from any calamity. He also called on the people to come together in prayer for the state’s safety, peace, and prosperity,” the post read.

Earlier today, a mild 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Segamat, Johor, at 8.59am, with tremors reported in parts of Johor and southern Pahang.

On August 24, the Malaysian Meteorological Department confirmed a 4.1-magnitude quake in Segamat at 6.13am, followed by a 2.8-magnitude tremor in Yong Peng, about 28km northwest of Kluang, at 9am at a depth of 10km. — Bernama
