JAKARTA, April 10 — Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia has set up a new state-owned entity to speed up investment in waste-to-energy projects, amid rising demand for more sustainable waste management solutions.
SEREMBAN, April 10 — Police are tracking five men believed to be involved in two armed robbery cases reported in Bandar Baru Nilai and the Rumah Rakyat Nilai area here last night.
Nilai district police chief Supt Johari Yahya said the first case occurred at about 1.10am at a 24-hour convenience store on Jalan BBN 1/2F in Bandar Baru Nilai, and was reported at 1.24am. Two unidentified men on a motorcycle were involved, with one armed with a knife threatening a man in his 20s while the other fled with about RM600 in cash and several cartons of cigarettes.
In a separate incident at 9.48pm, three men on two motorcycles, armed with machetes, allegedly robbed a woman in her 50s in the Rumah Rakyat Nilai area. The suspects reportedly took cash, bank cards and jewellery after threatening the victim.
The woman suffered a minor finger injury while attempting to protect her bag, with total losses estimated at over RM2,000.
Both cases are being investigated under Sections 394 and 395/397 of the Penal Code. Police have urged the public to come forward with any information, and said patrols in hotspot areas will be increased to curb crime. — Bernama
