LONDON, June 20 — Pro-Palestinian activists in the UK claimed responsibility for breaching a Royal Air Force base in central England today, where they say they damaged two military aircraft used for refuelling and transport operations.

According to campaign group Palestine Action, two of its members entered RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, splashed red paint on the Voyager aircraft, and inflicted further damage using crowbars.

“While the UK publicly criticises the Israeli government, it continues to supply military cargo, conduct surveillance flights over Gaza, and refuel US and Israeli fighter jets,” a group spokesperson said in a statement. A video purportedly showing the incident was also shared on social media.

“Britain is not merely complicit — it is actively participating in genocide in Gaza and war crimes across the Middle East,” the statement added.

The UK Ministry of Defence and local police have yet to issue a response.

Palestine Action has frequently targeted British defence firms and companies linked to Israel since the Gaza conflict began.

The group said the targeted aircraft were Airbus Voyagers, capable of transporting military cargo and refuelling fighter jets operated by Israeli, US, and UK forces. — Reuters
