KUALA LUMPUR, March 2 — Mosques and suraus under Jakim and JAWI have been directed to provide top facilities for congregants throughout Ramadan, which begins today.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd Na’im Mokhtar announced that the Ihya’ Ramadan program will run throughout the month, organized by various agencies under his department.

Several Cabinet ministers also shared Ramadan greetings. Agriculture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu encouraged moderation in spending, while Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli urged Muslims to strengthen their faith and community bonds. Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan prayed for good health and longevity, and Natural Resources Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad highlighted Ramadan’s role in fostering tolerance.

Federal Territories Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa expressed hope for peace and spiritual growth, while other ministers, including Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said and Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, shared similar well wishes. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi suggested using the ‘MYJalan’ app to report potholes while traveling to mosques. — Bernama
