SEKINCHAN, June 28 — The investigation report into the gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, will be made public this coming Monday, according to Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the report was completed as scheduled yesterday, and based on updates from the investigation committee, it is ready for presentation.

“It was completed yesterday, but since it was a public holiday, we decided to release it on Monday instead,” he explained.

“The report will be presented publicly, but we will first brief the Cabinet before making it available to the public — we’ll follow the proper process,” he added.

Amirudin was speaking at the launch of Phase One of the Sekinchan Fisheries Landing Complex development earlier today.

In an earlier statement, the Selangor Menteri Besar’s Office confirmed that the technical investigation concluded on June 26, as expected.

The April 1 fire incident completely destroyed 81 houses with over 40 per cent structural damage, while another 81 homes were partially damaged. An additional 57 homes were affected but not burned, and 218 homes — including those in Kampung Tengah, Puchong — were unaffected. — Bernama
