KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has expressed his gratitude to Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, who will complete his two-year term as head of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) this Sunday.

In a social media post, Saifuddin shared that Razarudin paid him a courtesy visit at his office yesterday evening, ahead of his retirement as the nation’s 14th IGP.

“During this warm and respectful meeting, I personally conveyed my appreciation and gratitude to Tan Sri for his unwavering service, dedication, and sacrifices for PDRM, especially during his tenure as IGP.

“His leadership was marked by firmness and strong principles, yet he always stayed connected to the people,” Saifuddin wrote.

Separately, PDRM announced on its official Facebook page that Razarudin was recently granted an audience with Sultan Nazrin Shah of Perak and Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu in conjunction with his upcoming retirement.

These audiences were held yesterday at Istana Hinggap Perak and Istana Hinggap Terengganu, respectively.

Razarudin took office as Malaysia’s 14th IGP on June 23, 2023, under a two-year contract, succeeding Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani. — Bernama
