GEORGE TOWN, March 10 — The Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) is closely monitoring the condition of four Malaysian students injured in an accident in Jordan, said Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.

He confirmed receiving an initial report stating that three students are in stable condition, while one requires intensive care due to severe injuries.

“Education Malaysia Jordan (EMJ) is on the ground monitoring the situation and will provide continuous updates,” he said after attending the Kembara Ramadan KPT 2025 event at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) yesterday.

Earlier, reports confirmed that the four students, studying at the University of Mu’tah, were injured in a road accident last Friday. Johor Islamic Affairs Committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khaled stated that two of them are first-year Fiqh Wa Usul students from Johor. — Bernama
