JOHOR BAHRU, July 26 — Two young motorcyclists were killed in a three-vehicle collision along Km60.5 of Jalan Sungai Rengit, Kota Tinggi, in the early hours of today.

Kota Tinggi district police chief Supt Yusof Othman said the victims, aged 18 and 19, suffered severe head injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were alerted to the accident at 1.24am, which involved two Yamaha Y15ZR motorcycles and a lorry.

“Initial investigations suggest that both motorcycles crashed into the rear of the lorry. However, the case remains under investigation,” Yusof said in a statement.

The victims’ bodies have been sent to Kota Tinggi Hospital for further examination. Authorities are still trying to locate the lorry driver.
