KOTA TINGGI, April 20 — A 71-year-old man has been remanded for seven days until April 26 in connection with a shooting incident in Taman Kota Jaya that left three people dead yesterday.
LONDON, April 3 — Liverpool manager Arne Slot praised Mohamed Salah’s remarkable nine-year tenure at the club and expressed hope that the Egyptian forward could add two more trophies before his departure.
Salah, Liverpool’s third-highest goalscorer with 255 goals, has helped the club secure two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups, and a Champions League crown. He confirmed last week that he will leave at the end of the season.
Slot confirmed that Salah is fit for Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester City. “He trained yesterday and today, and he’s available for the game,” Slot said, praising Salah’s consistent goals, assists, and overall impact. “It’s been unbelievable what he has done for this club. I hope he can add two more trophies before the season ends.”
Liverpool, currently fifth in the Premier League, are also in the Champions League quarter-finals, facing Paris Saint-Germain away on Wednesday.
The team will be without first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker due to injury, though Slot expects him back later in the season. Striker Alexander Isak has returned after a three-month absence with a broken leg, but Slot said it’s too soon for him to start.
Liverpool lost both league encounters against Manchester City this season, but Slot highlighted their strong second-half performance in February’s 2-1 home defeat as proof they can compete against Pep Guardiola’s side. “Now we need to show the same in their stadium, which is an even bigger challenge than playing at Anfield,” he added. — Reuters
