PETALING JAYA, July 27 — A 14-year-old girl has been reported missing after being dropped off at school by her grandfather last Wednesday.

According to Metro Ahad, Wong Yee Xuan was last seen around 7.00am when her grandfather dropped her off at her school in Taman Ehsan, Kepong, and watched her enter the school compound. However, concern arose when he returned to pick her up around 12.30pm and she was nowhere to be found.

Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir confirmed that a police report was lodged the same day.

"The victim's grandfather stated he personally saw her walk into the school. But when he came to pick her up after school, she never came out. He was then informed by her class teacher that the victim had not been in school that day," he told the daily.

Police have opened a missing person investigation and are actively working to trace the teenager’s whereabouts. Officers remain in close contact with the family during the search.

News of Wong’s disappearance has since spread across social media, with calls for the public to share any relevant information.
