SHAH ALAM, April 28 — A disputed 300-metre stretch of land in Section 3, near Taman Sentosa, Klang, has been taken over by the government, according to West Coast Expressway Sdn Bhd (WCE).

WCE said the affected landowner, despite having received compensation for the takeover in September 2023, had filed for an interim stay order to postpone the process. However, the court recently dismissed the request.

“In August 2024, the landowner sought an interim stay to delay vacating the property, but in April 2025, the court rejected the application and upheld the government’s right to proceed with the acquisition,” the company said, adding that a K Form was issued in November 2023 to officially commence the vacating process.

Despite this, WCE noted that the land remains occupied, delaying the connection between Section 2 and Section 4 of the expressway.

“WCE is actively working with the authorities to ensure the vacating process is completed. The company emphasises that it holds full legal rights to carry out the vacating in accordance with the court’s decision,” it said.

WCE reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the matter through legal means and aims to complete the affected section of the expressway as soon as the enforcement process concludes. — Bernama
