The 53-year-old told STM Lottery Sdn Bhd that the numbers “4486” and “5704,” printed on the receipt from a candlelight dinner with his wife, immediately caught his attention.
“I finally understand the Cantonese saying — love your wife, and you’ll prosper,” he quipped.
The doctor, who claimed the prize alongside his wife, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the gaming company, calling the win a “wonderful anniversary gift.” He also shared his plans to divide part of the winnings with his siblings and set aside the rest for his children’s future.
In the same draw, an employee from an education group in Sarawak also struck it lucky, walking away with RM219,975.30.
