PARIS, March 4 — Cristiano Ronaldo has sustained a hamstring tendon injury, Al-Nassr announced yesterday, but his participation in the 2026 World Cup remains likely.

The 41-year-old Portuguese captain is expected to be out for two to four weeks, allowing time for full recovery ahead of the tournament starting June 11 in the US, Mexico, and Canada.

Al-Nassr said Ronaldo “has begun a rehabilitation programme and his condition will be monitored daily.” The injury occurred last month during a Saudi Pro League match against Al-Fayha. — AFP
