Marang district police chief Supt Mohd Sofian Redzuan stated that authorities received a report of the incident at 12.30am.

Investigations revealed that the accident occurred when the left rear tyre of the Health Ministry-owned Toyota Hiace ambulance burst, causing the vehicle to skid and collide with a tree.

The ambulance, en route from Kemaman Hospital to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ), was carrying a 21-year-old female patient, along with a 28-year-old female doctor, two nurses, and a male driver.

“All victims sustained minor injuries and were taken to HSNZ for further treatment,” Mohd Sofian confirmed.
