BANGKOK, April 24 — Thailand’s Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a petition accusing 44 current and former opposition lawmakers of ethics violations over their 2021 move to amend a law protecting the monarchy from criticism, according to Thai media reports.
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 — The 6.15 per cent dividend announced for both Conventional and Shariah savings for 2025 highlights the solid performance of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and sustained public trust in the country’s retirement savings framework, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.
Earlier today, the EPF declared a 6.15 per cent dividend for both savings categories, involving a total payout of RM79.6 billion.
Despite a challenging global market environment, Anwar said the result demonstrates the fund’s strong investment management and the continued confidence of contributors in the national retirement system.
The prime minister, who also serves as Finance Minister, added that the Madani government welcomes the achievement and remains committed to implementing sustainable policies aimed at strengthening economic growth and enhancing the people’s well-being, enabling Malaysians to plan their future with greater assurance and dignity. — Bernama
