WASHINGTON, July 1 — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to visit the White House next week for talks with President Donald Trump, as the U.S. intensifies efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, a U.S. official confirmed on Monday.
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called out former leaders who portray themselves as “heroes” while amassing wealth, urging them to contribute financially to the poor instead of making noise.
Speaking at the Residensi Rakyat Harmoni Madani Bestari Jaya groundbreaking ceremony in Selangor, Anwar criticized these leaders for profiting while in power, acquiring properties overseas, and accumulating wealth for their families.
“If they truly want to help, they should sell half of what they own and give back to the people,” he said.
Anwar also addressed opposition criticism of his government’s initiatives, including the rice price regulations, reminding them that under the unity government, prices remained stable.
He stressed the need for integrity in governance, warning that unchecked corruption—from top to bottom—could ruin the country.
