WASHINGTON, July 1 — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to visit the White House next week for talks with President Donald Trump, as the U.S. intensifies efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, a U.S. official confirmed on Monday.
SONGKHLA, Feb 14 — The Malaysian Consulate in southern Thailand has urged Malaysians to avoid Kampong Balik Hilir and Kampong Pantai in Narathiwat, as Thai authorities have designated these fishing villages as drug trafficking hotspots.
Consul General Ahmad Fahmi Ahmad Sarkawi stated that Thai police have identified several fishing villages in Narathiwat as key operational bases for drug traffickers. “I strongly advise Malaysian tourists to steer clear of these areas, as Thai authorities are conducting frequent operations to apprehend those involved,” he told Bernama.
These villages are popular among Malaysian tourists for their seafood, but Ahmad Fahmi emphasized the importance of staying cautious and avoiding unnecessary risks.
Earlier this week, Narathiwat district police chief Colonel Pratya Baite also warned tourists against visiting these locations, reinforcing the need for vigilance. — Bernama
