HUNTINGDON, Nov 2 — Counterterrorism police are assisting in the investigation of a stabbing that injured 10 passengers on a London-bound train in eastern England.

Two suspects were arrested after the train made an emergency stop in Huntingdon, about 130 km north of London. Defence Minister John Healey said the attack appeared to be an isolated incident, with no wider threat to the public.

Nine victims suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. Prime Minister Keir Starmer called it an “appalling incident”, while authorities urged the public to avoid speculation as investigations continue. — Reuters
