Crocodile Seized in Teluk Bahang Waters, Surrendered to Perhilitan

GEORGE TOWN, Sept 23 — A crocodile was sighted on the beach near a hotel in Teluk Bahang around 4pm today.

GEORGE TOWN, Sept 23 — A crocodile was sighted on the beach near a hotel in Teluk Bahang around 4pm today.

The Fire and Rescue Department received a report at 4.38pm, and a team led by operations commander Mohd Farid Idris arrived at the location six minutes later.

Wearing full protective gear, the six-member team, assisted by local fishermen and residents, managed to capture the reptile using nets. The operation concluded successfully at 6.59pm.

The crocodile will be handed over to the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) for further action.
