KOTA KINABALU, Sept 6 — A 35-year-old man suffered serious injuries after falling from KK Plaza and landing on a parked car outside the shopping centre yesterday.

The incident, which occurred around 11.45am, drew a large crowd of onlookers, many of whom recorded videos and took photos. Despite his injuries, the man was still conscious when emergency responders arrived.

It is unclear from which floor the man fell. KK Plaza consists of three levels, featuring shops such as clothing outlets, mobile phone stores, Muslim bridal boutiques, and a food court on the top floor.

Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station chief Ordine Gilu said they received a distress call at 11.54am before dispatching a team to the scene. The man was later transported to hospital by ambulance and reported to be in stable condition. — The Borneo Post
