KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 — A total of 110 animals were seized from a business premises in Pusat Bandar Utara, Selayang, following viral complaints on social media.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said the operation resulted in the confiscation of 99 chickens and 11 ducks that were illegally kept inside the shop.

Checks found the owner had built unauthorised chicken coops within the premises, leading to unsanitary conditions. Officials also discovered chicken blood being channelled directly into public drains, a clear breach of health regulations.

The premises was found to be filthy, with strong odours caused by accumulated chicken and duck waste.

Health inspectors ordered the immediate closure of the business due to the severe hygiene violations, while the owner was fined for the improper disposal of animal blood into public drainage.

DBKL added that it will continue regular enforcement operations to protect public health and uphold cleanliness standards across the city.
