KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 — Authorities have begun a series of enforcement operations targeting unlicensed street traders in Masjid India, Bukit Bintang and several other busy city areas.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said the operations include fixed checkpoints, routine patrols and the seizure of goods to maintain order and safety in pedestrian and commercial zones.

Officers confiscated items from foreign traders operating without permits outside Kompleks Haniffa in Masjid India.

DBKL personnel also seized football jerseys from an unlicensed vendor along Jalan Sultan Ismail near Hong Leong Bank.

The agency said the crackdown aims to prevent illegal trading from congesting popular tourist spots and key commercial corridors.
