TOKYO, Nov 17 — Malaysia’s mixed doubles pair Edmund Teo and Boon Wei Ying kept their Deaflympics 2025 badminton hopes alive with a 21-14, 21-19 win over South Korea in just 32 minutes at Keio Arena Tokyo. They will face Turkey’s Muhammed Sert and Elif Sahra Demirel tomorrow to conclude the group stage.

Wei Ying said careful strategy and rigorous training helped them overcome strong opponents from countries like South Korea, China, and India.

Another Malaysian pair, R. Aravindakumara and Foo Zu Tung, won their opening Group D match against Turkey but later lost to Taiwan, currently placing second in their group.
