BANGKOK, April 24 — Thailand’s Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a petition accusing 44 current and former opposition lawmakers of ethics violations over their 2021 move to amend a law protecting the monarchy from criticism, according to Thai media reports.
KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 — Despite global economic uncertainties, the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) has demonstrated its ability to deliver a stronger dividend for the 2025 financial year.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin described LTAT’s performance as a noteworthy achievement given the challenging economic conditions over the past year.
“I congratulate LTAT for achieving solid results despite the global economic turmoil last year. This success enables LTAT to declare dividends at a higher rate compared to the previous year,” he said during the LTAT 2025 Dividend Announcement Ceremony held today.
The minister added that his ministry will continue to oversee LTAT’s performance to ensure the armed forces’ pension fund is managed effectively. “I believe LTAT is on the right path to manage the pension fund and ultimately deliver good returns to contributors,” he said.
For the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025, LTAT announced a dividend of 5.35 per cent — the highest in eight years. The total dividend payout of RM524.74 million will benefit personnel of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), reinforcing LTAT’s commitment to the long-term financial security of its contributors. — Bernama
